Kourd Gallery inaugurates on April 4 2023 the group exhibition The Quest for Tactility, with participating artists: Annie Riga, Valia Kapeletzi, Mariandie and Silvana Mc Nulty.

The exhibition brings together a series of works such as weavings, paintings and sculptures. The main focus is a quest regarding materials and structures characterized by a sense of tactility and craftsmanship. There are several elements that compose a kind of "constructed landscape" within the gallery; textile hangings and sculptures made with organic materials and asymmetrical forms, the varied woven structures and the contrasting technique within each weave, as well as electrifying colours. A dominant concept within this environment is the female engagement and these new plastic proposals, for which the tactile constitutes both a creative pattern and a productive process.
